• With 37 years in the industry, Scott Owens has the experience and knowledge to assist you in your real estate endeavors. Scott is the second generation of his family to be actively involved in real estate sales and development in the Bloomington market. His father, Jimmy Owens, and his uncle, Nathan Silverstein, were both active real estate developers. Jimmy was well-known as one of the most knowledgeable real estate brokers in the Bloomington area. Scott was fortunate to have the tutelage of his father from an early age. After serving in the business with his father at Jimmy Owens Realty starting in 1974, the Owenses joined Bud Bryan and Bill Reed to form Owens, Bryan & Reed REALTORS in 1976. The firm quickly became the major force in the Bloomington market and was widely known throughout the region as a top quality company. As a principal in the firm Scott was involved in hundreds of residential, commercial and investment transactions. Additionally, as a part of OBR Construction, Scott had many experiences with real estate development and residential construction. In 1985, Scott was appointed to the historic FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) Oversight Team installed at Continental Illinois National Bank as a part of the workout team after the failure of the bank. This experience allowed Scott to work with the sale and liquidation of hundreds of properties at a national level. In 2000, Owens, Bryan and Reed merged with F.C. Tucker/Bloomington. For the next 8 years Scott was a broker associate with the newly formed firm. 2008 brought new opportunity. Scott’s longtime friendship and association with Jim Regester, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Realty Professionals, led to an opportunity for Scott to redirect his business efforts in a streamlined environment with greater technology and sales tools available to enhance the quality of his service to his valued clients. Later in 2008, Rachel LaGrange joined Owens Realty Group at RE/MAX Realty Professionals. Licensed in 1992, Rachel obtained her Broker License in 1997, and was named Sales Manager of Owens, Bryan & Reed in 1998. She moved with Scott to the merged company where she served as a manager and relocation coordinator. Rachel is a Past-President of the Bloomington Board of REALTORS and currently serves on the Bloomington Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors. In 2010 Jeff Warden joined the team bringing with him over 30 years of sales experience. Jeff obtained his Sales Person License and he works with both buyers and sellers.
